Worthwhile clean little place while touring vineyards in Rhone. Good location and they have parking.
Our stay was only overnight on our way to Spain, but we found it very comfortable indeed and would definitely recommend it.
The central location in Tournon was a definite plus factor. A pleasant stroll into town where there are plenty of decent eating places. It was very good to have fully closing shutters to keep the room cool which also made for a comfortable nights sleep.
The car park is very tight and short of space for anyone arriving late. The shower room was small and dark with only one small light working and no plug in the sink.
We used this hotel on our way further south to France. We stayed in Azalées one night and it was excellent ! Nice and very clean hotel room. Very friendly staff, nice dinner, good breakfast.
There maybe could be a little more choice of bread during the breakfast.
Central to all local shops and facilities, and the room was clean. Breakfast was very good also.
The hotel is not far from the city centre. The rooms are clean, but rather basic. The bed is a typical French 140 cm broad, which is not much if you're used to a king-size. The rooms in the courtyard are very quiet, even with open windows you don't hear the people leaving the parking area.Good hotel for a stop over to the south.Personnel is efficient. We cannot judge the cuisine, but local people told us "you do eat well there", however with a view on the parked cars in the courtyard. Because of this we took a nice restaurant on the Rhône quai.
The size of the beds, don't be to big
We have stayed before and enjoyed the experience. The location is ideal for our itinerary and the dinners are excellent.
Parking can be a bit tight.
We like the town of Tournon, we like it's position and the fact that it has a good restaurant (though we realised afterwards that did get charged €4.40 for a litre of water we never had - we were given tap water which is what we wanted). We like the rooms n the left of the parking space though rather less those newer ones on the right. The town is a delight. This is our second stay and we shall certainly return.
A very clean, comfortable hotel whose service was efficient. It was exactly what we were looking for as we were en route to our final holiday destination.
The Hotel was fine and the food and wine good. Tournon is a splendid town on the banks of the Rhone with a real buzz about it and convenient to the autoroute and a number of Rhone wine areas. It is reasonably sign posted and has a secure although small car park.
Depending on your room you may hear a few goods trains which run overnight. It is about 50 yards or so from the railway.
A small but clean room, good value for money. Friendly staff at restaurant.
Good location in the town and quiet at night.Excellent staff, very helpful Can't comment on restaurant as we ate in the town.Continental breakfast perfectly adequate.
The only negative, also mentioned in other reviews, is that the car park is relatively small and quite tight so you may not get a space if you arrive much after 5.30 in high season. However, there seemed plenty of parking spaces close to the hotel.
Everything to like about Azalees. Our second stay here as a large group & no one had a bad word to say about any aspect of the hotel. It's not the prettiest building nor are the rooms luxury, but the hospitality & quality of food were faultless. We will certainly stay here again & appy to recommend.
On arrival, staff took trouble to re-arrange rooms so that we could have a ground floor room . All done in very friendly manner. Hotel was busy and limited room for car parking , however , all was arranged in very simple orchestrated way! Full marks to all! Food good too !
